I've always been into all sorts of crafts.  As a kid I was happiest when armed with scissors, glue, beads etc.  My Grandma was a potter and I remember many hours spent in her pottery making all sorts of creations. 

My love affair with fabric didn't begin though until I was living in North Carolina and suddenly had a lot of time on my hands.  I picked up a copy of one of Kaffe Fassett's books and was hooked.  We also happened to live right around the corner from one of the largest most fantastic fabric shops I have EVER seen!  It was heaven!  I could think of a colour and find 100 different fabrics.  I really didn't know how good I had it!

Then enter flickr and the internet and a harmless hobby became a complete obsession!  I cannot imagine life without a sewing machine now!  Nor can I imagine it without the amazing group of friends I have met through Flickr and blogs.
